Yackandandah Health Medical Centre provides a comprehensive range of medical services to the local community.

Our Centre comprises five General Practitioners, a Nurse Practitioner, a Practice Nurse and a Midwife. Appointments are available Monday to Friday. Use the links below to read about our team and book an appointment.

Appointments Consultation Fees Nurse Practitioner Fees

Yackandandah Health Medical Centre is focused on providing excellence in healthcare for our community. To provide high standards of care, we are a private General Practice and charge moderate fees for our consultations with our GPs, Nurse Practitioner, and Nurses, based on the Australian Medical Association recommendations.

As we are a busy practice with a limited number of appointments available, we encourage early cancellation of non-attendances. We charge a $30 cancellation fee to those who fail to cancel with at least 6 hours’ notice.

Fees for procedure will be advised after your consultation with your GP.

Midwife Care Program

Our Midwife, Louise Thornton, and our GP/Obstetrician, Dr Tess Goodwin, offer you comprehensive Antenatal Care with Postnatal follow up and Breastfeeding support. Our focus is to contribute positively to your experience of pregnancy, birth and your postpartum.

The Midwife Care Program (MCP) welcomes women with all risk pregnancies and provides individualised care, education and support. Continuity of Midwifery Care is the gold standard of maternity care in Australia, and at Yackandandah Health Medical Centre, we strive for positive outcomes for families.
